The footprint of this site was approximately 10,000 square feet. The construction was compound by serveral factors which greatly influence cost, design, layout, time and equipment procured. These factors are:

  • (a) The combination of suitable clean soil that were removed in conjunction with exiting debris
  • (b) High water table that presented challenges in dewatering the jobsite, and contaminated ground water that was present had to be treated prior to being pumped in the D.E.P systems,
  • (c) Prior to the surveying and geological reports, the existing 7-story adjacent property concluded that the permanent vertical alignment was out of line 6 inches towards the south east of the proposed property,
  • (d) Close proximity to the MTA subway system influenced the type and choice of excavating equipment, the design and configuration for the propouse structure
