:: Excavation

The total volume of excavation exceeded 1,200 cubic yards of ordinary soil which was then excavated and disposed of off-site using a variety of heavy excavating machinery.Between 25-30 trucks were used at every given day to truck all unwanted soil from the jobsite.

Underpinning procedures were done simultaneously with the process of excavation, shoring and lagging. All relevant designs, details, building code, regulations and specifications during the excavation phase of the project were adhered to obtain an effective completion schedule. This deep excavation averaged 40 feet below ground level and required extreme care, skill, knowledge and professionalism for a job of this magnitude to be successful.

:: Underpinning

We were faced with fractured adjacent properties, fragile rubble stone footing of the 7 story building located east of the 222 Duffield St, misaligned and crumbled mortar causing the existing building's footing being unstable.

:: Shoring & Bracing

Due to the small capacity of space at Duffield St. site there was added difficulties that aroused. We made sure that all sequences and methods were implemented accurately and assured adjustment to designs and other techniques if for some reason there would be any other planning to be made.

:: Foundation

Before the performing 27 floors of reinforced superstructure concrete work, we had to make sure that the foundation was will input and the pool and other subcontract works were installed for the foundation level of the project. We had to make sure that all shoring, bracing and lagging were in order and that no steps in constructing the foundation were in jeopardy for the formation of the superstructure portion of the project.

:: Superstructure Concrete

We have faced with great difficulties during the building of this superstructure but with good faith and effort we made the best of the situation. We had limited space to maneuver the structure but with great professional team effort, we have accomplished with accepted pleasure of our job well done. This small space availability and over 100 men to complete this project, this job was done on time with a safe, secure and durable structure.
